Unlike other forms of neurofeedback, NeurOptimal® is fully automated and you can get all the essential understandings you need to use it in a professional setting in just 3 days (successful course attendance results in the Zengaroffical “Basic Certification in NeurOptimal®“.
Anyone who has reasonable computer competence can easily learn to use NeurOptimal® (if you can work a smartphone you can work NeurOptimal®).
As a trainer your role is to use NeurOptimal® as a tool and to support your client as they go through a transformational process. The trainer creates the space for change to happen.
Many psychologists and psychotherapists add it as a tool to their practice. In fact many such people increasingly use NeurOptimal® as their primary tool. But it is also used by other professionals such as doctors ,teachers, hypnotherapists, acupuncturists, chiropracters, nutritionists, stress managements specialists and coaches.
However, you do not need to have any specific professional background to become a trainer. Because it is a brain training and not a therapy, you do not need to be a therapist. It is a completely safe approach. Consequently some people who simply have an interest to help others set up a practice and make a good living out of it.
Finally, parents of Special Needs children often train in order to help their own children or to provide support services to a wider Special Needs community.
Some trainers set up extensive practices with multiple NeurOptimal® systems. Typically, in the UK a session of neurofeedback will cost between £60 and £150 depending upon location.
Whilst many trainers run a general private practice, many choose to work with an area that they have a special interest in e.g. sleep issues, stress, sports people, business performance etc.
